The Mike and Dale Show returns to the MCRCA Yes, it is true that the next MCRCA meeting will host Mike N8KUF and Dale WA8EFK as they present an overview of the River Raisin Repeater Assn. repeater systems in the county. Join with us as Mike out foxes Dale's attempts to get the technical details covered and sends him into oblivion. They will use a Power Point presentation to illustrate the finer points of the repeaters we use every day and show us how everything fits together. You will also see what the components parts look like and how the systems achieve the coverage they have. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and some may be actually answered. Please note the Red Cross prefers that no tomatoes are thrown within the building. MCRCA Welcomes New Hams On February 28, the MCRCA hosted a "Get Your License in One Day" class at the Bedford Township Government Center. This 6 hour session resulted in a 90% pass rate and we welcome nine new hams in to the community: KD8KHT Dwayne; KD8KHU Kevin; KD8KHV Mike; KD8KHW Gail; KD8KHX Tim; KD8KHY Bob; KD8KHZ Margaret; KD8KIA Lehr; and KD8KIB Jeremy. Several of these folks are part of the Bedford CERT and are already involved in community service. Now we all have the obligation to mentor these new hams, so let's be sure to see that they are invited to our club meetings, Field Day, Fox Hunts and other social events. The MCRCA has extended full club membership to all of the successful examinees. The March newsletter has been posted on the Newsletters page!
