Club Meetings

When:  3rd Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm

Where:  The American Red Cross Building

Club meetings follow a standard format and last about an hour and a half. Often a presentation is given by a club member or a guest speaker on a current or relevant topic to amateur radio.

Refreshments are offered during a short break. As a courtesy to our members and speakers, we ask that you arrive a few minutes prior to the start of the meeting.

You can learn more about the club's history here!

Upcoming Events

  • General Club Meeting - You don't need to be a member to attend our General Club Meetings. The public is welcome to join us!

  • December  Presentation: We will be having our annual Christmas party.  It  is potluck so please bring a dish to pass if you can.  Festivities will begin at our regular meeting time of 7:30 PM.  And of course spouses, family members and your guests are absolutely welcome.
  • Skywarn Recognition Day:  On Saturday, December 5th the National Weather Service will be hosting Skywarn Recognition Day. This is an on air event during which amateurs try to contact as many National Weather Service Stations as possible. There are stations in almost every state and contacts can be in nearly any mode or band. For a complete listing of details and stations visit the website at http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mtr/hamradio/.

We would like to use this event as a training day for hams to become familiar with the equipment at the Red Cross. Dave Buchko, AC8SI and John Copeland (N8DXR) will be at the Red Cross on Saturday from 10 am until about 2 pm to host this event.
All club members, ARPSC members, and interested guests are welcome. This is a perfect opportunity for newer hams to get on the air or just watch others operating.
If you have any questions please contact Dave at:  dlbuchko@yahoo.com.
